| Hmm, I see some parts were inspired by various builders, like the chest is obviously from CCY's Stasis and that head design looks familiar too. It looks very cool so far, tough you should give the legs a wider stance. I like it! | |

This ladies and grease monkeys, is my first experimental mech, XM1-000 / TYPE-Zero. Right now I am in the process of conjuring the equipment and technical specs... enjoy [/size] Epic. Nice job! But as Thomas said, wider stance would make it look better, as well as demonstrate poseability. Otherwise, this is a beauty!

| The body is amazing, and the limbs are pretty good too. *gawks* I'm waiting to see where you take this with weapons and battlefield position. | |

Thank you, the head is derived from one of your Gundams, and yes you are correct, the chest is from CCY's Stasis. The basic frame however, is my original design. It started off as this... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and evolved into this... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]* Parts removed to show key similarities * These are just progress photos, I'm still working out the kinks. But, I'll take that bit of criticism to heart and experiment with a wider stance.

| Been tinkering around in the lab, trying once again to make the best transformable flight type mech that I can possibly design. I recently finished this happy little guy after hours of prototyping and tweaking. The legs are derived from a much older MOC, but their ability to compact themselves was not to be overlooked. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I'm calling the it Aquila, which is the Latin word for 'eagle'. Full MOCpages entry and .LXF coming in a bit. | |

If they did, it was at such an unconscious level that I never noticed it. In truth, it draws more heavily from my long history of transformable flight-types and my never-ending efforts to improve and enhance them. The line actually borrows more from the Kyrios-Arios-Harute family of Mobile Suits than anything else.

| So... What's the general opinion on posting a (very) rough and non-mech but still future war technology-related WIP here? I mean, I know it's called the Elite Mechaniers and not the Elite Buggytankaniers so I just wanted to check before doing something stupid. | |

should be okay. I think it's been done before.

| Okay. This: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I obviously don't expect much advice on the actual build since there's barely anything there, but I'd like to get some feedback on the proportions, height, etc. and especially on the design of the cannon. Mostly on the concept, I guess. My idea is to have the cannon and the canopy rotate much like on a tank with the entire thing being propped up above the tires with a lot of suspension. | |

| I like it! It looks like it has a nice, low, center of gravity, which will contribute to stability in steep terrain. And then tere's that gun. I like the gun. That gun.... Is... Genius. | |

| I took a break from mecha development and created a piece of equipment, a Preemptive Assault Booster for Type-Zero and honestly, I couldn't be happier with the results.

It did start out as a ZZ, but now I'm still working on it as a frame for multi-use. It is quite a bit taller than my normal frames, so it looks a little slimmer; however, it's still the same basic dimensions for limbs aside from length. Here's an updated WIP shot. Almost ready to do a real torso and start armoring it up. Not 100% sure what suit I'm gonna do, might still end up a ZZ, but I really want to take a crack at a green GM Sniper again. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] saw this on flickr, it looks good! The only thing I might say is this: try working on a different head type. It looks so blocky and solid and I don't think that works with this build. otherwise, I applaud you!

It's just a placeholder for scale. I've got a couple different types I've been working on, but it helps me to have something to help visualize the model while building it.
