Music Appreciation Game

Alright, so here's a little forum game that every forum needs. Essentially, I'll start by posting a song. The person to post under me rates the song on a scale of 0-10 (in the form of 0/10 - 10/10), then posts their own song. Please listen to the whole song before making your rating, as it's just not fair to the person posting if you skip half the song. A reason for giving the rating that you did is appreciated, but not required. Just have fun with this; I've seen people get upset over other peoples' ratings before, and it's just not worth it.

Hmmm... I like it. Generally it falls into the same catagory as "Archangel" (I think) By Two Steps From Hell. Only this one has everything... Well, Almost everything. Its good, but I've heard better. I give it an 8.8/10.

Speaking of better:

I'll give it an 8.5/10, it has a very good dramatic feel and the drums are awesome. However I think it's still a bit far from the awesomeness that Two Steps From Hell delivers with almost all of their songs.

Now, let me show you what I usually listen to while I build my MOCs (I'm not going to lie, music can be a very good inspiration for building. )

The title says it all...:

That music has made me want to watch Gundam. Its dramatic, its peppy, its brilliant. 10/10.

And now for something a little different:

I Wub Wub Wub Wub Wub it! (pun intended) 9.0/10 But what we really need is some eomtion. I like songs with a lot of "Umph" at the end, but nothing beats a song with a great big "Umph" at the beginning. Like this:



And I mean a REALLY big UMPH!

Ahh, the good old Star Trek theme. It's a very nice music, but kinda slow at the beginning for my taste so I'll give a 9/10. Seems like everybody is bored, so I'll spice things up with a good inspirational song

10/10! it's pretty good, I really like it, and I can totally feel the whole "FTW" feel. idk if anyone likes rap, but give it a go and listen to the words.

Well, I'm not much of a rap fan, so I'll have to judge this based solely on the words.

Simply put, 10/10.

Ok, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek (and more of both to come ), and now another of my favorites: Transformers.

Very good, tough I like the "Arriving to Earth" better from the TF movie(tough the original animated movie's intro music is far more better then both) 9/10

So, here's something different, VERY different.



btw, this is the opening song of one of my favourite animes, Wolf's Rain...so Richie, if you're interested in wolves, you should watch it! it's good stuff.

Something is wrong with something and I cant watch youtube videos that are embedded in this page, so I'll give a score to Thomas's song later.

The song itself is okay, I guess. Not really my type of music, but not terrible. But I do have one question: what in the name of hairy minotaurs and giant rock monsters just assaulted my eyes?

As for the song itself, I'll give it a 7/10.

Its about time! I've been waiting for someone to post some rock. I llike the content, but I have to subtract points for style because Its a little rough for my taste. 8.5/10 I enjoy good rock every now and then. This is my number one favorite of all time:

Well, no. That's not actually my theme song. Let me clarify some stuff for you. The first thing you should know about me is that my username is Klushots. But since we have that out of the way now, the second thing you should know about me is that I'm a goofball. So of course it's not my theme song! I don't go to Renaissance fairs.

A bit slow and mellow for my tastes, but not bad overall... 7.5/10

Can't say I'm a fan of whatever they're calling rock these days. The lead vocalist is bad, the instrumentals are simple and generic and the lyrical content is boring. 4/10

I doubt most of you will appreciate the sounds of the 80's, but I'm going to lay something out from my favorite tribute band of all time.


It was either this or Michael Jackson. I had to do something to break up the monotony of all this Nu-Orchestra. >_>

7/10 - Kudos for engaging my nostalgia, but the song wasn't ever really super-duper amazing.

Alright, I'm gonna' break it down for ya' right here. Nujabes's Ristorante Mixtape is some of the best ambient music I've got in my collection. The B-side is my favorite of the two, but they're both pretty legit.

Hm... That's not really fair of you to post 45+ minutes of music when the rules state we're supposed to listen to the whole thing. Any chance you can cut that time down to something more reasonable? If you can, I'll edit this to include a rating.
And one more thing: if you think the lead vocals from my previous song are bad, look up the acoustic version and then tell me he's bad.

Maybe Myles Kennedy's vocals will be better appreciated...
