Hey folks,

Since I'm not really down for the style of Bio's Music Appreciation Thread, I'm starting up a 'sister thread' to both contrast and compliment the other one. In the other thread you've all been asked to rate the musical selections of your peers on a scale of 1 to 10. That's out the window in this thread. Just post music. Feel free to praise or criticize but keep it clean and classy.

What I'd like participants to do is to link music that they're listening to at that present moment in time. What's on your playlists? What are you looping in WinAmp or iTunes or Foobar? What's been on when you've been building your MOCs? You don't have to follow this suggestion; post whatever music you want, but sharing what you're into now is a good way to start a cycle of discovery where people learn about new artists they've never really heard yet.

Also, feel free to post as many links per post as you want. For the sake of simplicity, I suggest no more than three but you can do whatever you want.

To start this thread off, I'm going to link some Emancipator. I only just recently discovered this artist (thanks, Kotaku), but the low tempo electronic style is pretty legit. Here is Siren, it's remix by Tor, and the Erothyme remix of Safe in the Steep Cliffs.

So there's this little game.

It's called Amnesia: The Dark Descent. You might have heard of it. /sarcasm

For those of us who have played the game, these tracks definitely hold a greater weight than for the casual listener. The Brennenburg theme stands to me as one of those mood-setting themes, and I've often played it while flying around a newly completed area in my Minecraft maps. Razz Lux Tenebas is pretty sweeping, going from a semi-peaceful start, to a sad middle, then picking up the tempo for a nice finale. As for Dark Water... *hunches into a corner and starts rocking back and forth* Fortunately, Back Hall was there to comfort me. Razz

Did I dud dah muzic gud?
