You use [ img ] [ /img ] tags, without the spaces, like this:

ah, gotcha. umm... forgive my apparent lack of computer know-how, which is apparently a good deal less than I thought it was, but is there any way to upload a picture file directly from my computer and not from the Internet?

Yes, actually there is. There should be a few icons above the reply box. Hover over them until you see "host an image". Click on that and it should be straightforward to get your images uploaded.

If that doesn't work, I use Photobucket of an alternate image hosting service.

Where's the chatbox? I'm not seeing it anywhere on the site.

At the top of the forums, click home, scroll to the bottom = chatbox!

Some of the stuff here is broken, at least on my Firefox. I tried the page in IE (oh, the pain) and it worked fine. Now, before you all tell me to switch to Chrome, know that I do plan on doing this, eventually, but I am lazy.
The broken things are:
- The banner at the top is not scrolling, it's put each notice on a new line (however Andrew's sig is working fine)
- The buttons above the text box I am now writing in are broken except for the 'others' button (I'm using the quick post thing at the bottom of the page)
- The top posting users bars are not showing
I'm not sure what you're meant to do with this information, but I don't think there have been any Firefox update since I last went on here, so I was wondering if you've changed anything recently that might have done this.
